Director, Stan Gey van Pittius, says, the factory can produce up to 600 - 38mm Honey Comb products in a single day.
As it stands at the moment several thousand MDF doors and Honey Comb doors, cupboards and bookshelf components are produced every single month. To do this it requires over 30 tons of Masonite, MDF and Particle Board, several tons of wood glue and several kilometres of specialised wood coatings.
The actual production of Honey Comb products is a straightforward operation. However, the hardest part of making these products is ensuring the upgrading process of the materials is not compromised and tight deadlines are no excuse for cutting corners.
The Particle Board, Masonite and MDF are cut to size on a Beam Saw. The Masonite or MDF “skins” are then put through a glue spreader, the frame is placed on the “skins”, and the resulting hollow is then filled with a honeycomb inner and sealed with a second “skin”.
These “components” are placed in a Siempelkamp press where they are “cured” for several minutes at a temperature of approximately 95°C at a pressure of around 10 bar. The components are moulded to the required specifications and then go through a temperature controlled foiling machine where after they are cut, drilled, packed and shipped.

38.4mm thick Bookshelves consisting of a 32mm MDF & Particle Board frame with Honey Comb and 2 MDF or Masonite skins.
Bookshelves are "Knock Down", very easy to assemble and come in the following heights, 1200mm, 1600mm, 2000mm & 2400mm.
They are 850mm wide with an interior packing space of 770mm.
We also have a desk top that fits onto the unit that can fold out.

Material & Description:
Knock Down Built in Cupboards consisting of Honey Comb Sides with a similar construction as our "Euro" Door.
Top, Bottom and Shelf Above Hanging Rail are made of Honey Comb and shelves under 600mm wide are made of Particle Board.
Wrapping:
This entire unit is wrapped in PVC and is very rigid due to the "Honey Comb's" inherent strength and the shelves do not sag.

The unit is white inside and the exterior can be in Alpine White, Mahogany, Memphis Cherry & Cherry Royale .
We currently produce the "MDF Door".

16mm MDF door consisting of a 16mm MDF panel rounded on 2 sides.
Wrapping:
The doors are covered with PVC, and top and bottom is edged with 1mm PVC edging.
